CHARACTER NAME: Trip (Shootie)
CHARACTER SERIES: Pokemon Black & White (Pocket Monsters Best Wishes!)
[OOC]
This is the permissions list for OOC (out of character), activity.
Answer the following questions with "yes" or "no", as well as additional information if desired.
Backtagging: of course!
Threadhopping: ask first if it's serious, avoid it if it's a private conversation (but if you really want to, ask first) ... if it's a casual discussion on a public network, no need to ask, have fun!
Fourthwalling: mentioning that the games exist in your character's world or that they're familiar with the concept of Pokemon is fine, but please don't tell him he or his world is fictional...
Offensive subjects (elaborate): I'm fine with just about anything in fiction. Horror and dark subject matter is fine. Nothing blasphemous.
[IC]
This is the permissions list for IC (in-character), activity.
Answer the following questions with "yes" or "no", as well as additional information if desired. With IC permissions, it's a good idea to elaborate on what other players can expect from your character if they choose to do any of the following:
Hugging this character: yes, but you'll probably confuse/disturb him, he's not the hugging sort.
Kissing this character: cheek or hand in a friendly way is fine! If we're writing a ship or it's a meme, anything goes.
Flirting with this character:why would you if it's silly and Brock/Oshawott-level, it's probably fine. If it's not just a one-time joke or a cute crush that won’t go anywhere... discuss first if in a game--anything goes in memes!
Fighting with this character: sure! Outcome can be discussed OOC-ly.
Injuring this character (include limits and severity): minor injuries, I'll probably allow. Serious stuff, discuss first.
Killing this character: discuss first!
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: yes, but discuss first.
Warnings:
Trip tends to get possessive and jealous about people he admires, even if he’s upset with them or acts like he doesn’t care that much. Champion Alder compares him to a fickle woman. ^^;;;The more antagonistic BW! rivals are varying degrees of tsun, basically.
Trip's very insistent on being seen as an adult and while by some measures he is in his world (welcome to the Pokemon world, where you can travel across the land unattended, accompanied only by your superpowered monster friends), he's still definitely a kid, just an unusually cynical and jaded one. Don't take him too seriously.
He’s also one of the morally grey rival types, albeit a more well-intentioned sort... he’d never abuse his own Pokemon and he’s more honorable than to take advantage of, for example, an opponent’s phobia, BUT in conflicts between humans and non-human creatures, he sides with humans, because it’s the most logical and natural choice.
He has a strictly logical and pragmatic approach to conflicts and will justify violence and cruelty for the greater good, but isn’t cruel needlessly... if he can be convinced of peaceful means, he’ll switch sides.
Trip acts very confident, but is masking insecurities and tends to assumes a loss is due to something he lacks or did wrong, instead of a difference in experience. He is definitely better about this by the end of his storyline and I generally play him post-series where he’s gotten his answers from Alder, is more at peace, less concerned with shutting everyone out to focus on endless training, and more open to friendship, but he’s still likely to be a bit insecure and validation-seeking at times.
